So, you are interested in working with us but you'd like to know how we will go about designing and developing your website? No problem, below is a quick guide which loosely describes the process.

Step 1: Information Gathering

This involves getting a solid understanding of your new website and the company or organisation it is created for. It involves a good understanding of you – what your business goals and dreams are, and how the web can be utilised to help you achieve those goals. As well as this background information you can give us your logos, your favorite colors, and your ideas for your new site.

Step 2: Design

Using the information gathered in step 1, it’s time to determine the look and feel of your site. Based on your target audience and the purpose of your website, we will create a prototype design which you will be able to view online and make any suggestions or request changes. In this phase, communication is crucial to ensure that the final web site will match your needs and taste.

Step 3: Development

This is when we code the underlying functionality that will power your website, we will install a CMS if required and write the required custom code to achieve each of the requirements laid out in step 1. We will provide you with a live demo at several stages throughout the development process, so you can try it for yourself.

Step 4: Testing

Now that the design and development is complete, we will begin testing the functionality of your website by following each action that a user may take to check it is working as required, any bugs or issues we encounter will then be resolved. You will be welcome to take part in the testing if you wish.

Step 5: Website Launch!

After everything is tested and you are happy with the website, we will move the files onto the live server and launch the website on your domain. Your website will now be publicly viewable. We will also set up your email accounts and anything else required before launch.

Step 6: Maintenance

Using a CMS (Content Management System) you can maintain your own website by adding, deleting or editing text and image content anytime you want. We can carry out small changes to functions, code, design etc at an hourly rate of £25, or alternatively we can provide a maintenance subscription where we will carry out any required changes for a flat monthly rate.
